Batty is a self proclaimed fashionista and a shameless shape shifter, with a wide range of style, and a uncommon ability to pull off a variety of looks with ease. I am in awe of Batty's creativity, and enjoyed how nonchalant she was about her look. She openly expressed a passion for cleverly styled avatars and admitted a touch of personal vanity. It's SL Batty, everyone perv cams themselves!

Batty loves hanging out at Club Zero. When I asked why Zero, she said, "I love Club Zero because it's a place for good tunes and people. No matter what, I end up smiling or gesturbating to death. Either way. You'll always find what you want there."

Ahhh the good old days... Back in the 80's when punk was still raw and amazing, goth was despaired,gloomy but would send you on a wave of utter delight and synthesizers were making us all dance to the beat of a very different drum.

What you may ask made this time better than today? One word. Community. The community in this time, at the dawning of these musical subcultures are what made it a living entity. Clubs did not just specialize in one form of music back then. They drew from the pool of the underbelly of the mainstream. That was and is the tie that binds us all in the darkness. We are seeking that which main stream society deems unusual, we find the music that helps us express our individuality, our spirit, our esscence.

The scene today is lacking that sense of camaraderie that it was founded on. The sense of "we are all societies unwanted children" is slowly fading. What used to be a meeting places of different styles and ideas is now a home to tunnel vision and pockets of people with closed minds and closed hearts to music. The ties that bind us all are fraying to social status and commercial mass appeal.

You may ask yourself why does this matter, or how does this affect me. The answer is simple. If you lose the heart of a culture, the driving force of where it came from then you kill the culture completely. It loses it's mojo. The magic that drew us to it to begin with.

Throughout the next few posts I will further be exploring the links between music today and the history that is woven around it. Exploring the links I feel it is important to revisit the starting points of where "our" music was created from. The importance of looking back at what was ,as the new era approaches. We do this in the hopes to regain the sense of community to make the next generation stronger and more creative, to show support and to ensure we do not lose what we are.

Today I went to a Zombie Carnival event at Acidic Infektion, and I found the most appropriate outfit at the Epoch event, made by The Secret Store called Circus. I loved the dark twist my Nomine zombie skin gave the overall look, and the Lelutka hair seemed right...

I also got a hold if the new release from Blue Blood called Diana. It's a full outfit all the way down to an adorable necklace. The skirt, belt, corset and gloves are highly detailed and very pretty. Diana comes in black, red and purple.

Today I decided to TP over to Club Acidic Infektion, and after camming around for a good subject, I spotted Heder Zapatero. This guy has created a through and clever batcave/deathrock look, and not only is he a savvy goth shopper, he also owns Acidic Infektion.

Acidic Infektion opened in March 2010, and celebrates the goth and underground scene with talented DJ's who play all kinds of Industrial ~ Darkwave, Punk, 80's, Gothrock, Batcave, Deathrock etc. It's always busy when I stop in, and the tunes are fabulous!

Comings Goings and Mayhem

It has been a while since my last investigative report from the wasteland and that is only because I had been detained with catastrophic partying of diabolical proportions...continue reading at your own risk.

As you all well know by now, E.B.S. the Emergency Broadcast System club has been a haven for miscreants, debutantes, and apocalyptic survivors across the globe. This band of fool-hardy, profane, and provocative talented folks

have been assaulting your ears and eyes with some of the most eclectic, energetic, and epic music for some time now. The month of February has been no exception.

Not one but two events occurred the week of Valentine's Day - because just one celebration is never enough at E.B.S.

First there was the Anti-Valentine's Day party; followed by an All 80's Bash that left nothing in it's wake but damp confetti, specks of illicit activities in

dimly lit bathrooms, and ringing eardrums to send Alice tumbling down through yet another rabbit hole seeking shelter.

This level of chaos cannot continue you decry! However, not only is this type of debauchery continuing, but it is even being celebrated. Yes, E.B.S. is holding a contest entitled "Triumph of the Tijuana Toilet". The decor of E.B.S. has always caused this reporter to wonder if it was left over from the apocalypse, or if someone blinded from the apocalypse simply dragged residue of survival items and strewn them across the club; either way - there is a distinctly placed toilet in the center of the club which has become an iconic throne in its own right.

Rules for the contest are fairly simple and available at E.B.S. Basically take a photo on the throne and submit it before the deadline of 29 February 2012. That's right my enraptured readers - you have just this weekend and a few more short days to submit your entry for the "Triumph of the Tijuana Toilet"!! The top prize is an epic gift certificate for IMPALED!!!

In addition to the chaotic contests and epic party events at E.B.S. the club has been continually drawing in more ludicrous talent to deliver eargasms of mixological magic. With live Engineers (DJs) 6 days a week you are bound to find someone up to no good and delectable musical designs at E.B.S. I previously posted some most-wanted information for the original crew at E.B.S. Stay tuned for in 2 weeks time there will be another array for you to peruse and gesticulate about.

Dimmu Borgir in a Second Life

Draco Productions' band division, Draco Bands, at one time was known as Blaspheme Bands. The band group was named after the club, owned by Dagoth Graves, created in 2007 and was in operation for well over 3 years. Blaspheme represented everything that was Extreme Metal in Second Life and was cherished by many. Due to huge waves of fans wanting diversity in the bands and reaching to many other genres of music, Blaspheme changed the group to Draco Bands and added a large assortment of other music genres. This spring will be the 5th annual Hell in SL fest and to promote Draco, Hell in SL and the Extreme Metal genres.... starting in January 2012 we will be doing a series of concerts from some of the bands from the Heavy, Black, Death, Doom and Thrash Metal genres every two to three weeks on our very own "Nightmares & Legends" location. The name of this concert series will be known as "Metal Gods".

Draco Productions extends an invitation to all in hopes to see the fans of the old days, as well as many new fans supporting Metal and what made Draco known across Second Life. Please help in supporting these (what seem to be) lost genres of Extreme Metal music by attending a few shows.

Blue Blood created this incredible dress, a dress inspired by an RL dress I was adding to my RL closet. Ghani, the creative genius went to work and made this beautiful dress entitled, Annabelle...good choice for a name! The dress includes the batwing-like sculpted sleeves, stockings, gloves, scaled design skirt with plenty of sweet little ruffles in the front.

Vampire Night

Vampires...did someone mention Vampires? While other little girls in my neighborhood fought to be a princess, I wanted to be the vampire (something Angelina Jolie and I have in common).

ImmateriA released a new outfit entitled Vampir-Nacht, the zippered latex suit includes sculpted belts, gloves, collar, mask and platform boots. Pictured above I am wearing Dusk, other colors include Blood Red, Hemlock Green, and Belladonna Purple.

The latex suit appears aged and worn, certainly not something a glittered-up vampire would wear while walking in the sunlight (giggles at the cheesy alliteration).

So many ideas flooded my head.
"Which article should I write first?"

My pen slammed against paper in a stream of ideas and then it occurred to me...you probably have no idea who I am.
Where are my manners? So, firstly...let me take the opportunity to introduce myself.

*stands up and clears throat*

"My name is Arijah, and I'm an art addict."

I'm honored to have been asked to write for the Eldergoth Macabre. It is a pleasure to be here, and to be meeting such a wonderfully creative bunch such as yourselves.

I'm a Gothic artist. I always have been and always will be.
I write my own blog called Nevermore , and my RL/SL mate and myself operate a little corner of SL called Wintermoon .

We describe Wintermoon as a "dark realm within Secondlife". It's our own little Gothic contribution.
Although we're both professional artists, we're both new to the SL creation process, so sometimes, things end up in a jumble. But...we work it out.
Hey, everyone had to start somewhere right?
Wintermoon is a chaotic crashing together of ideas. We make clothing for our store called "Abominations", and the creations are based upon our artwork, experiences, favorite music and literature. So, you'll see outfits called "Rose Red" or "Black Aggie".
The parcel itself was named after a song by the band Immortal called "Call of the Wintermoon". :)

I also operate "Nevermore Gothic Arts & Curios", and co-own a little club called "6 Underground", which focuses on new and up and coming musicians. We host The Gothic Poet Society, and maintain The Edgar Allan Poe Memorial Garden, The Golden Apple Hunt, and are a RP friendly parcel, with a preference for old style D&D type RP.
We are also a community of RL alchemists.

I'm a Baltimore native by birth, mother of 5, and currently live out on a mountain in Tennessee, in the middle of the forest, where we attempt to garden, un-school our children, and not lose our minds in the process.

I'm a graveyard girl.

I am one of those misty black broomstick skirted and veiled flowing creatures you may see bobbing from headstone to headstone, and picnicing in the cemetaries.
My Gothic heart didn't start beating to the tune of a particular genre of music, but rather to the rhythm and rhyme within literature.

I'm POE-sessed.

I joined Secondlife back in 2009, and due to a pretty crappy computer, and lack of guidance, wandered around aimlessly, stumbling over tables, and getting stuck in walls, and got pretty frustrated with it and disappeared until about 6 months ago. Now I'm back, with a better connection (albeit still a crappy computer), but this time with a plan! Muhahahaha!

We're meeting so many wonderful people, and we have carved out a little niche for ourselves...and to be honest...I love it here.

Secondlfie allows me to not only create and share my artwork on a virtual platform, it allows me to create pieces of art that I can walk around and play within.
...walking around and playing inside of the imaginations of not only myself, but that of other many and varied kindred spirits.

I miss community. See, where I live, there is no club venue to go to. No streets to walk, or bookstores to go to, or cafes or poetry meetings.
I also suffer from a nasty little bit called Fibromyalgia.
It's challenging.

Sometimes, I can barely clean my house or walk to the end of my driveway.
It can be extremely depressing at times.
SL gives me the ability to do the things I would like to do but can't. The Eldergoth Macabre has been an extremely wonderful and useful group for me here because of the dedication and compassion of the souls who work together to maintain it.
It has not only been a guiding hand for me through the SL world of shadows...but there is sincerity and friendship here, and I'm honored to be a part of it.

So...now that you have an inkling of who I am, I don't feel so bad about throwing my articles at ya. ;)

The Fallen - The City of Charm

November 1st, 2024; earth is in a post-apocalyptic state on the verge of rebirth, comprised of supernatural beings with mystical capabilities. Humans are no longer the dominant species, and are commoditized while races like Angels and Demons, Lycans and Vampires, and Mages and Shapeshifters engage in magical battles based on long standing, deeply rooted animosity.

Sound intriguing? This isn't the backstory for a Hollywood movie or a sci fi novel. Rather, it's a glimpse of the possibilities for freeform roleplay on the sim of The Fallen, The City of Charm, a place for dark urban role play. Created by Dominic Darkmatter and Justin Arabello, The Fallen calls on storytellers, actors, and creative roleplayers to put down the meters and engage in innovative posting with plentiful inspiration...such as a high quality sim and tremendously well developed races and schools of magic.

In addition to checking out the sim and devouring the notecards, I was eager to chat about The Fallen with Dominic Darkmatter himself. Here's what the prolific creator had to say about this unique sim and roleplay group.

Kittynes: What inspired you to create an RP sim?

Dominic: It’s hard to say what ‘inspired’ me to create a sim. I beganRoleplaying about two years ago, I had a theatre background in my personal lifeand was fortunate to have a love for reading stories early in my life. So itnever was something that just appeared, more so I always felt inspired tocreate a story for my character. The ideas either coming the moments before fallingasleep, a billboard I see driving, a movie, or simply just my marinating in theshower. Ideas would pop up and evolve. Fortunately over time I found myselfcreating an entire world in my imagination, at least that had occurred to meafter I left the sim I was at. Oddly enough it struck me that over the courseof those two years I practically created a new universe which I applied to thisamazing sim we built. So to answer your question my inspiration has always beena constant, more so I simply quit the sim I was at and I had the time to make aplayground for myself. The amazing partis that people seem to have enjoyed it. Quite a humbling feeling.

Kittynes: How is Fallen different then other RP sims?

Dominic: I get this question a lot. On the surface the easy answer iswe don’t use meters. It’s strictly you and your imagination within yourwriting. The second thing (which I could be wrong), I believe we’re the firsttime to ever have take the time to build an entirely new universe. It was quitean undertaking, and still is! Nowadays within the RP community, amazing buildscrop up constantly. So we knew we’d have to compete with that. But for us wedecided that we’d differ by having a better background story. Something theplayers were part of, something despite having a world of supernaturals wasrealistic and believable. Outside of that, the intangibles. Our community is very low maintenance,meaning it’s rare to find many out of character issues. Our moderators are verycareful to not intrude on players and in return the players have shown amaturity that I am most proud of. It’s rare I am asked to get involved withissues, and that’s a testament to the amazing players we get on sim. I could go on and on, but those are in myopinion the best things about us. Our story allows a player to feel part of aliving breathing world, and from an out of character standpoint we have amongstthe strongest communities around and still growing. I’m really proud of ourplayers.

KIttynes: Why did you decide against a combat system?

Dominic: This was an interesting dilemma because I personally came from aDCS sim. In my limited experience and by no means does this encompass all meteredsims, I felt that metered sims encouraged competition rather than community.The goals are different, with meters it seems many have the goal of levelingup, and using a system in which reinforced your achieving goals. One of which iswinning. I always found that odd in a hobby that in fact is more aboutteamwork. We decided against meters because I wanted player goals to be moreabout story. And not about winning and losing.

Kittynes: What are the advantages of the freeform RP you encourage?

Dominic: The advantage of a non-metered sim is you’re armed with yourimagination. Basically we emphasize more the art of expression and writing,rather than having a fast computer or clicking faster than an opponent. Don’tget me wrong there are a lot of players who do both well. I was one of them.But for my taste, I wanted something that focused more on storytelling than afighting system. I think the main thing is you don’t have to be forced to playa weak character simply because your pc isn’t amazing or you’re a low level.Here, we don’t care about your computer specs, level, or camping for XP. Wecare about you the character, and creating some sort journey that you have morecontrol of. At the heart of it, whetherit’s noticed or not, it’s about equality and freedom to have choice in yourpath from scene to scene.

Kittynes: Who is "The Tudor" and what active role does he play on the sim?

Dominic: Well this character basically is our tour guide. I use himto essentially reveal our lore through journal entries. Teasing out certainparts, and elaborating in others. It seems to have been a great tool to helpweave this fantasy world and deliver that to the players in doses.

From a story standpoint the Tudor was a powerful mage. He constructeda University to mentor humans burdened by magic and teaching them enough thatthey don’t go down a path of insanity. Here magic is a little different forhumans. They do wield it, but it’s not natural for a human to do so. Eventuallywielding too much leads a human to go insane. And that’s a burden they mustplay with. Having grand abilities but never over indulging.

From a personal story this particular character grew up withhis brother known as The Prophet. Eventually the two had such opposingdifferences that they become more enemies than brothers. I don’t want to revealtoo much, but his brother had a rare ability to forsee the future. One of whichinvolved his brother the Tudor that I hoped to flesh out in the future. But we know little things about him that Ihave slipped in various short stories that players would have to piecetogether.

Kittynes: Let's talk about the races - The Nameless, Vampires, The Grey Men, Angels, Lycan and Demons. What would make someone choose one of the races over another?

Dominic: Oh goodness, that’s a complicated question. I could go onand on. The issue is each race has their own unique story that you just need todecide which you connect with. The Lycans for example, one of which I am veryproud of, because we’ve recreated them different than how many sims portraythem. They are less about fucking and fighting but rather have a real story youfeel for. For them their story is very much an Icarus story, in which at somepoint these Lycans evolve and evolve. At some point you have to ask yourself ‘Arethey losing their identity?’, are they losing who they are simply for theirlust of revenge against vampires. Their hero pushes them to become more. Youfeel for him, but you see him spiraling down a path they were never meant to.Tavian is Icarus. He’s flying toward to the sun for a touch, and we as anaudience wonder if he will eventually get burned, or grow in such a way that hechanges for the better, for himself and his race that he leads.

The Grey Men are another example. At the heart they trulyare a resemblance of a Holocaust story. There’s a heartbreaking depth to themthat’s quite haunting. That was my goal, I wanted each race to haunt you insome sort of way. Making you feel for them, and want to play a character withinthis dark world. It truly is a dark story with a lot of passion. How do you pick a race? By picking one thattugs your emotional strings.

Kittynes: What are the advantages and unique qualities about each race?

Dominic: There are slight differences. Some have magic, some don’t. Some races focus on certain magics like Divine,or Blood magic. Other’s on their wits. So there’s a lot of choices that playerswill discover when reading through all the races and sub-races.

Kittynes: How do the Schools of Magic relate to the races and the roleplay interaction?

Dominic: Well you can use certain magics to aid you or hinder you.Say you’re looking to get information, perhaps you use your ability to enchantthem in a roleplay in such a way they reveal more than they normally would.Depends on what your strengths are and that of another.

Kittynes: Say I am new to RP, why should I try Fallen? What are my first steps to get involved?

Dominic: Being new I can definitely understand why someone would beintimidated. Because of how much story we have here, we inadvertently got a lotof advanced roleplayers who just eat this stuff up and deliver such imaginativeroleplay posts. I’ll be honest it certainly isn’t easy. I usually recommendplayers have roleplay experience, otherwise they may feel overwhelmed. But forsomeone who is a willing learner, we’ll definitely want here. A player who islooking for a rich story to get lost in will want to try us out. It’s muchbetter than a sim in which you’re dropped into without much story to pull from.It’s like someone had said ‘Here’s a city! Now RP’. Well what do you RP? There’snot enough info to build a character. Here we have a lot of inspiration to pullfrom.

Kittynes: What does Fallen have to offer an experienced RP'r?

Dominic: We bring in some top-notch RPers. I mean amazing writersthat just simply know how to weave a story and involve you. If you’re someonewith a lot of experience, you’ll fit in very well. And the best part about itis you’ll blossom with a background story and lore to pull from. Outside of thatI have to again say a community with no ego. It’s not about winning and losing,just having fun and storytelling.

Kittynes: Tell me about the events you put on. What is the purpose? What are some of the themes?

Dominic: Generally we have a weekend in character party. For the mostpart it’s a great event to sort of shoot the shit, and bond. But we’re nowstarting to tackle more long term events. For example right now we’ve introduceda mystery character that has a vested interest in the city that the players areattempting to figure out why. At the moment,we’re all wondering who this ‘Mr. White’ is. Supposedly he’s a beneficiary who’shelping ‘restore’ the city. Naturally no one trusts him as no one has seen him,or heard of him. He’s like the Wizard of Oz! Definitely fishy, so we’ll seewhere this goes and what ‘Mr. White’ could potentially be up to that couldaffect all of us in our city of Charm.

Kittynes: What are your future plans for Fallen?

Dominic: LOTS, but we have so much to focus on in the moment that wehaven’t really pursued it. But there’s been ideas tossed around like building adifferent sim in which a city within our lore players could potentially ‘travel’to. This particular one is called Kiono, a Japanese themed city that I’veteased out in our various short stories. The great thing about building a newuniverse is we can create anything we want. But for now we have a lot of work.Players have yet to even learn a lot about our racial heroes. How Arch-AngelMichael died, the relationship between a historical vampire and the presentVampire leader Lydia, the founding of the Whisperers. We just have a lot ofstory to flesh out right now, and it couldn’t be more fun.

Chemistry and Attraction 101

For those of you who did not attempt to blow up your garage with a chemistry set when you were a kid - you are at a serious disadvantage here in the post-apocalyptic wasteland! Iron, for those of you who do not know, is magnetic; so if you are trying to discern iron from aluminum; take a massive magnet and hover over the filings, the iron will attach to the magnet. If you provide a safe haven through the apocalypse, if there is tremendous music, if there is energy and charisma, people will throng to that location like iron filings to a magnet. The Emergency Broadcast System is a perfect metaphor for the attraction iron filings have to magnets.

E.B.S. listeners come from far and wide to partake in the energy and music provided at E.B.S. They are the iron filings. But more so, E.B.S. Engineers rise above the masses, they meet a different standard than your average DJ - they can pull those discerning listeners out, better than the pied piper! The sight cannot be adequately explained, the dedication, the sheer exuberance that occurs, is climatic. So listeners have been coming to E.B.S. in record numbers, traffic at the club has increased geometrically in the past few weeks, almost like a pilgrimage to Mecca.

i have been following the developments of this rag-tag group of mischief makers for quite some time. As anarchistic as you may all think they are, as ones to buck tradition, and circumvent the system, there is one point of similarity they seem to share - they all are in the spirit of giving this time of year.

Emergency Broadcast System

I know it has been quite some time since my last reporting from the Wasteland – however, I feel you all should be updated on the developments at E.B.S., the industrial club that has pirated the airways of the emergency broadcast system. As numbers have swelled over 10,000 to the newest mecca of music here in the wasteland; I have been informed that the government has placed a bounty on the heads of each of the pirate DJs, who are currently wanted “Dead or Alive”. I have included information on the first three targets that may help you either apprehend them, or appreciate the delectable sounds they transmit over the airways. I will post more of these mug shots and intel as it becomes available.

Xealot Camino – Admiral of E.B.S.

Is a serious auditory mixologist of genres. Aliases are DJ Dystopic (when mixing industrial, dark ambient, or dubstep) and DJ Lawrence Railey (when mixing trance). He has self-identified as an “asshole” who is known to eat large quantities of beef lo mein (which he considers a sacred offering from the gods). You should proceed with extreme caution, as his survival technique for the apocalypse was 5000 rounds of 12-gauge ammo from his bedroom closet.

Hestia Wylie – Warlord at E.B.S.

Do not let this devastating beauty mesmerize you more than her sinfully sweet DJ skills. AKA DJ Hestia has a penchant for all things industrial with a “pinch of goth”. She portends to be silly while devouring massive amounts of sausage. Be wary my dear readers, for this luscious lynx survived the apocalypse with “guns, guns, guns, and a lot of booze!!”

Trevor Darkmatter – Warlord at E.B.S.

The only thing crazier about this bloke is his charismatic, debonair quality. AKA LvD, this energetic DJ is a master of electro, dubstep, DnB, and hardcore. If you find him with a shaker over his food, he is likely sprinkling his pound cake with a pinch of cocaine, not powdered sugar. Expect the unfathomable when approaching, for his means of survival through the apocalypse was to be “Crazier than the craziest.”

OhMyBeks Resident – Overseer at E.B.S.

Sinfully sized, this crazy fajita-eating DJ spins a symphony of seduction during her sets. AKA DJ Beks, her preferred tantalizing tunes include trance, electro, and EBM. As with her cohort Hestia, be wary of her arts of seduction, for her method of survival for the apocalypse was that her “Ass distracted everything, including bombs.”

Should you see any of the scathing scoundrels, be weary, they are often armed and dangerous. Do not let their seductive beats and sinful symphonies fool you, they are truly artists of aural enticement. Stay tuned for more investigative reporting and wanted posters.

There's something romantic, melancholy and beautiful about a porcelain doll. Ethereal, untouchable, and iconic, the doll is the epitome of a concubine, companion and idealized arm candy. I love the notion of the doll, which is why I was mesmerized by two new skins by Matrioska, aptly referred to as doll skins.

Carmen Skin with tattoo option

Carmen is a Fae inspired doll skin, with sugar coated candy makeup against a flawless, alabaster skin tone. She is said to be created in the spirit of the forest, rainbows and a touch of magik. Her supernatural aura is given futher depth with the tribal tattoos option in the skin pack, which add ornate and mystical markings to the immaculate doll complexion.

Domina is a rich, sexy and aloof gothic skin that, when paired with my white hair, reminded me a bit of a painted Debra Harry circa 1978. The body on Debra, erm I mean Domina, is so pure, providing contrast for the bold makeup of eyes, cheekbones and lips. Lips come with a red or black options, as well as a teeth option.

This Halloween weekend I have been hopping around SL trying to find cool places to visit. On one of my stops I found myself at Netherworld. Just so happened that this day I was dressed as a 10 yr old, since I KNOW little kids get more treats! When I landed there I was in a spooky garden with creepy dark corners and an awesome looking tree. Being a kid for the day I just HAD to climb it of course! LOL

I also did my best impersonation of a zombie LOL and played with their dog Fluffy! Not for nothing, but I think they need to feed him more.

After playing outside for a bit, I made my way inside the store. As you make your way inside you will see that this store is very well connected with the community through many groups and you can subscribe so you can keep tabs as to the latest happenings. Their newest releases are also right at the entrance so you don't have to hunt around for them.

And if you don't like following them inworld, well hell they have a million ways to do so on the internet and it's posted so don't act like you don't know LOL.

OK, first of all, this store has a nice mix of products. They have clothing, decor and BUILDINGS! Yes, very cool looking prefabs for your dark decorating needs. <insert evil laugh here> Oh and I did like that they have kitties for adoption there! Umm....supposedly guaranteed evil, or hungry....wonder if they bite.

On the clothing, you really can't go wrong with a dress that comes with blood already on it. I don't know about you, but I hate ruining new clothes so this makes me feel better ;)

Now, I know today is the last day for "Halloween Decorations" for the rest of the world, but for us Goth enthusiasts it's a year round party so CHECK OUT the decor items to make your home ever so uninviting to strangers! He, he, he....

If you don't already have a fabulous old haunted house to call home, you can certainly find it here. Oh they do have furniture too for your lovely home.

If you go through the magic door, it will take you to a place where you can see the buildings fully rezzed so you can decide which is the one you will take home with you.

First of all, you really set the mood right when you land in front of a store that is guarded by creepy statues and it’s all dark and mysterious looking. He, he, he. Walk into this store of darkness and find yourself face to face with little Imps on the stairs, dancing skeleton and strange looking little skeleton elves; some of which are for sale.

This store is quite eclectic. You can find an assortment of women’s clothing on the ground floor.

There are also furniture items, like couches and beds. I did sit on one of the couches and must say, don’t really know what I was doing with that hand LOL.

There are also some fun things for the witches out there, like the cauldron and the bookcases with supplies in them.

OMG, they even have little gothic vampiric baby cribs which were dark, scary, creepy and soooo darn cute, that it almost made me want to have a prim baby. ….ALMOST.

There is also a Midnight Mania board and a Mov Vend one aswell.

Here’s a wonderful open are store that is located in what appears to be the ruins of an old castle in the countryside. It’s a lovely little spot on a hill, complete with water views and a nice little boat on the water to rest in. It even welcomes you with freebie sandals and a gotcha machine!

At this adorable store you will find a nice collection of shoes and accessories for both men and women alike to suit your eclectic needs. You can’t go wrong with a store that has walls full of SHOES!!!!

Additionally, I must point out that there are shoes for Victorian, Steampunk, and even Elven folks!

There are also beautiful accessories available.

There is even an entire section dedicated to MESH. Unfortunately I couldn’t take any pictures of the products there as MESH is currently trying to kill me so I am fighting against it!

The Emergency Broadcast System - Pirate Radio from the Edge of the Apocalypse

From their own words, Club EBS is “Lead by the few survivors who took over the ancient Emergency Broadcast System; who now use it as a pirate radio station for all dark, electric tunes that meld with the post-apocalyptic wasteland. Club EBS is the last island of debauchery in a terrifying world.”

But what does a post-apocalyptic wasteland of a club look like…

This is just a bystander’s image of the follower meandering into the club, to fill their need, their need for music to animate their bodies and fill what souls they have left in this wasteland. You will find yourself peering into the corners of this club, your senses captivated, unable to resist the urge to let the music course through your veins … this is the club you would suffer through the apocalypse to reach.

The setting is a mix of post-apocalyptic décor, biohazard paraphernalia, scorched earth, dilapidated structures, and burnt-out remnants of a life bygone; think Mad Max and Tank Girl met with Raymond Chandler for an interior decorating party. The music is non-commercial dark, electric tunes, many of which are mixed live by their own DJ’s. The atmosphere is meant to uphold a certain flair for survivalism, where pleasantries are delicacies, and loyalty is the best currency. Be fair warned, there are random acts of violence at Club EBS, hosts and DJs have been shot; and the conversation occasionally has a taste for vulgarity in a perspective that harkens back to the American Wild West.

The opening night party itself was a live-mix DJ battle between DJ’s Dystopic and LvD. Each DJ got 30 minutes before a switch, for a total battle of two hours. The beats were tremendous and like the pied piper, filled Club EBS. There were more than two dozen survivors that flocked to Club EBS; most of whom needed to be carried off in stretchers from dancing long after the epic battle concluded. Oddly, some of the revealers have remained and appear to almost be permanent fixtures hanging on for dear life to pipes; the music has become their addiction. DJ Dystopic, a controllerist DJ of epic proportions, surreally pureed a cocktail of trance and dubstep. DJ LvD, a CDJ wizard, pulverized his beats into submission … these DJs have battled before. Not only are their techniques vastly different, but their musicality brings an audience to their knees to pay homage. This explosive rivalry will continue soon. Stay tuned for news of the upcoming rematch.

Club EBS is hiring, they are mainly looking for DJs during the hours of 6-10 PM SLT (18:00-22:00 SLT); however they plan to expand with demand and traffic growth. Stop by the club to gather an application, or seek out any of the members of management as follows: “Owned by the Perverted Admiral himself, Xealot Camino, coordinated by his Great Warlords Trevor Darkmatter, Kara Threebeards and Hestia Wylie.”

So far, this doll is quite impressed with the new little slice of the music and club world in Second Life. She is anxious to see future events and report on the growth and flourish she expects will occur over and over throughout the weeks to come.

Do you want it bloody? Do you want it gore? No, i'm not talking about sex, lol! I'm talking about the new entry of the Eldergoth family, Death Row Designs by Jaimy Hancroft.

This is one of the latest realease for Halloween, a spooky, bloody version of Show White (and i seriously think she just killed the 7 dwarves, considering the quantity of blood on her outfit, lol, awesome!)

The outfit is called "Zombie Snow White". Boots and eyes included! Even the store fits items so good, and i love it. Don't you?

At Death Row Designs you can find a wide variety of outfits, tattoos, skins, boots, accessories.

Take a look at those awesome spikes coming out the skin. They come with a tattoo layer, and it comes from the gore collection of the store. It's called "gore Bloody spikes forearm".

Black Arts featured a new outfit at our September Release Party, Benighted Dress in Red. The outfit includes black stockings with beautiful lace at the top, lace black gloves, a lace neckline against red velvet and lacey sleeves.

Also released were Gothic Lolita Shoes in four different colored socks to choose from.

Schadenfreude showcased the Widowed Fey Ears, beautiful sculpted fey ears with the intricate webbed design and the black widow creeping along the neckline. Also pictured is the tattoo layers of eyeliners released, Joe-the-eyelioner pictured above.

LvD vs Dystopic are going into round three with their never ending fight - two of the best DJs in SL going to show off their skills in a more or less friendly duel in a less friendly environment! Now, what is The Emergency Broadcast System you ask? Well...

Sometime in the near future...

The apocalypse has come, civilization has been destroyed and only a few islands of human population remain. The world has become a wasteland, the comforts of modern life have deserted the people and technology has regressed from its great pinnacle to a pittance of cobbled-together radios and electronic trash. In the midst of the decay, one station still broadcasts - The Emergency Broadcast System. Once it was the very harbinger of the apocalypse, only to become a beacon for the dark vigilantes, the terrifying highwaymen and the lone survivors in the world. Dark, enthralling tunes carry through the speakers and across the airwaves, beckoning you to join the uncounted, incredible parties that continue at the ancient refinery, powering the Emergency Broadcasting System.

Club EBS is the last island of debauchery in a terrifying world.

Lead by the few survivors who took over the ancient Emergency Broadcast System; who now use it as a pirate radio station for all dark, electric tunes that meld with the post apocalyptic wasteland

A gathering for all that accept the darkness, the violence and unfiltered speech, for all of those who want a world free of oppressive monitoring, rules and regulations, except for those decreed by the Warlords themselves.
